This alliance was sealed in 2017 at Bonneville Salt Flats, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the speed record established by Burt Munro on the back of his Indian Scout Streamliner in the year 1967. At that time, Burt Munro reached a speed of 296.11 km / h with a motorcycle belonging to the category of 1,000 cm3, a feat that allowed him to be considered the ” fastest Indian in the world. ” To commemorate the unparalleled feat of this motorcycling hero, in August of 2017 his nephew Lee Munro launched at full speed through the famous salt desert piloting a contemporary machine with the same colors.
